Due to today’s rainy weather and poor surf conditions, flat, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel today’s events. However, we’re excited to announce that we are all set to kick off tomorrow with an epic day at the 2025 Australian Para Surfing Titles and BrightSky Australian Pro Adaptive Surf Championships!
Tomorrow, March 25th, we’ll begin at 7:30 AM with the Australian Para Surfing Titles, showcasing the incredible talents and determination of adaptive surfers. Then, at 12 PM, we’ll host the Come and Try Day, where new participants with disabilities can experience the thrill of surfing, supported by Surfing Australia and Macquarie Sports.
Yesterday, the Parade of Nations brought an amazing energy to Byron Bay, with competitors from across the globe marching through the streets in celebration of the sport. The event also featured a Welcome to Country, the Official Opening Ceremony, and the unifying Mixing of the Sands ritual—setting the stage for an unforgettable week.
Although today’s weather has put a brief pause on things, we’re looking forward to continuing the first leg of the AASP World Tour tomorrow. Byron Bay is buzzing, and we can’t wait to see everyone back out there!
